ArtLab J Young Leadership Program (Ages 13-18)
The ArtLab J Young Leadership Program is an enriching opportunity designed for aspiring leaders aged 13-18 who have a passion for K-POP, Korean culture, dance and the arts. This immersive program, running from September to May, equips participants with the skills and experience needed to become confident, community-oriented leaders.
To earn the ArtLab J Young Leadership Program Certification, participants are required to complete a minimum of 100 volunteer hours, which will include teaching, organizing events, and participating in outreach activities. This certification not only recognizes their dedication but also sets them apart as emerging leaders in both the arts and cultural spheres.
Participants will engage in a variety of activities that foster leadership, creativity, and cultural understanding.
Program Duration and Commitment
Timeline: September to May
Minimum Commitment:
K-pop & Dance Leadership: Attend at least one dance class weekly.
Complete a minimum of 100 volunteer hours across all activities to receive the ArtLab J Young Leadership Program Certification.
Throughout the program, participants will take on responsibilities that challenge them to grow as leaders. They will work collaboratively, plan and execute events, and actively contribute to the community.
This program is an excellent opportunity for young individuals to develop leadership skills, make a positive impact on their community, and connect with peers who share their interests in K-POP and the arts.

Participants will:
Learn and Perform:
Attend weekly K-POP Dance classes (at least once per week).
Practice and master K-POP dance routines.
Teach and Inspire:
Teach K-POP dance to younger children in community programs.
Outreach and Performance:
Participate in public performances and community events to spread awareness and appreciation of K-POP culture.
Engage in Leadership Activities:
Collaborate with peers to plan and execute community outreach initiatives related to K-POP culture.

Take weekly dance classes (any dance style offered by ArtLab J).
Develop and refine performance techniques.
Teach and Mentor:
Lead beginner-level or children’s dance classes under mentorship.
Assist in rehearsals and provide support to younger dancers.
Plan and Organize:
Work as part of a team to choreograph group dances for showcases or community events.
Collaborate on dance workshops for the local community.
Outreach and Advocacy:
Perform at community events to promote dance and inspire others.
Advocate for dance education and community engagement through presentations or discussions.
