Explore their creative instincts, expand their imaginations through DANCE, ART, MUSIC AND STEM
ArtLab J’s innovative program, Creative Thinkers & Movers, aims to offer diverse programming of creative activities which allow students to explore a more open free-form of dance, art, music and STEM through utilizing different materials all while stimulating the senses in an encouraging environment.
Class Description
Creative Thinkers-ART & STEM
ALJ’s Creative Thinkers class allows children to explore physical arts and crafts with a professional artist! Each week, students will explore different elements of art, including color, shape, and movement, to discover the many ways they can create unique pieces of art. Students will work with ArtLab J’s Art and Design Director, Seline Lim, to develop their creative skills in a fun, collaborative environment. By the end of the session, students will have a strong understanding of artistic concepts and how they can be incorporated into everyday life.
Creative Movers-DANCE & MUSIC
ALJ’s Creative Movers class connects the Creative Thinkers class's artistic concepts and allows children to explore performing arts and motor skills with professional dancers and musicians! Each week, students will examine different elements of art, including color, shape, and movement, to discover the many ways they can express themselves creatively. By the end of the session, students will be proficient in executing motor skills such as balance, focus, and coordination and have a firm idea of artistic concepts. Students will also develop fundamental knowledge of music performance.
Class Curriculum
Color: Artists will explore primary colors, hue, tint, tone, and shade, while dancers will explore the feeling of each color.
Shape: Artists will explore points, lines, surfaces, and shapes. Dancers will integrate points, lines, and surfaces into movement.
Story: Artists will read a storybook and complete an activity connecting with the story. Dancers will explore different rhythms and tempos in movement.
Artist: Artists will learn and explore various artists and designers’ styles and movements. Dancers will learn and explore various dancers and choreographers and their movement styles.
Light: Artists will explore light and shadow. Dancers will dance in front of different lighting designs to see how movement changes.
Texture: Artists will explore materials used in essential design skills and stimulate the senses in a STEM-based environment. Dancers will examine the feelings of different textures in a kinesthetic exploration.
Sound: Artists will make creative musical instruments. Dancers will create movement and dance to the music played by their instruments.
Movement: Artists will observe live creatures and build artwork inspired by their form and nature. Dancers will engage in movement practice.
Composition: Artists will explore various shapes and perspectives in composition through artwork and dance.
Scent: Artists will explore the source of various scents and engage in an activity related to their experience.
Session Info + Tuition
3 sessions run from September through May
4-5 years Tuesday 4:30p-5:30p
6-8 years Tuesday 5p-6:10p
9-11 years Tuesday 5:45p-6:55p
+ The first 2 sessions are for the regular classes with each different weekly theme (10 weeks per session)
+ The third session is dedicated to working on the final performance
+ 60 or 70 minutes class of Art + Music+ Dance separated by age group
$175 monthly ($1575 total for the season) / $1418 (10% discount) yearly (3 sessions total)
Costume/Photo/Video are required for each student's routine in the year-end performance. Costume fees are NOT included in monthly tuition.
$150 - Recital fee/per class( Fee will be charged in January, including costume, digital video & photo from recital)

“Creative Storytellers” is our latest offering designed to refine and enhance storytelling skills.
In this program, kids will develop their creative abilities and storytelling techniques based on award-winning story books, crafting their own narratives and bringing their imaginative stories to life.

Art Sprouts is for those aged 5- 8 years who want to nurture their creativity.
Every Wednesday 5:30 pm - 7 pm (90 min class)
Vibrant, hands-on art classes that nurture the creativity and potential of young children. Children are encouraged to express themselves and explore their budding artistic skills through engaging activities and primary art education.
Per month: $145
Season (10% discount): $1175
Art Sprouts Pro is for those aged 9-12 who want to develop their artistic mastery at an advanced level. This class focuses on refining techniques, exploring new mediums, and deepening art knowledge while challenging young artists with complex projects, fostering personal expression and skill development.
Every Monday 6:30 pm - 8 pm (90 min class)
10-Week Session, Digital Portfolio, without recital

+Kids Clay Art Workshop+
Join us for our Kids Clay Art Workshop, designed for children ages 4 to 12, every Thursday! Ms. Ashley will guide the kids through exciting weekly themes, fostering their creativity.
Different themes will be available each week, and this is a drop-in class with all materials provided. We invite you to let your child's imagination soar!

SCHOOL BREAK CAMPS
Ages 5-12
ArtLab J offers fun, multi-discipline school break camps that range from single day to a full week based off the school district calendar. Our program gives children aged 5-12 the opportunity to continue their art education and build fundamental life skills while schools are on break. Similar to our summer camps, students will partake in a group warm-up, followed by exciting art, dance & music classes, while integrating books, learning aids, and unique props.
Camp Details:
Time: 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Cost: $75 per day / $330 per week
Aftercare Available: 3 p.m. - 6 p.m.
($25 per day / $100 per week),
Drop off from 8 a.m.
Pick Up from 2:45 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Please send lunch, water bottle, and extra clothes
AM/PM snacks are covered by ArtLab J
Please wear a comfortable T-shirt and bottoms (pants, leggings) and sneakers
